The Sapphire Dragon is a very dangerous Shen Gong Wu, a weapon only to be used as a last resort. It was first found dormant in a volcano in "Night of the Sapphire Dragon"; if the soot is removed from it, it will activate on its own and attack anything an everything without stopping. It has the ability to turn people or things into sapphire statues, which are also weakened by soot; they can also be controlled in this state. It was only used purposefully by Hannibal Roy Bean in the third season in "The Dream Stalker"; in its first appearance, it was activated by accident.
